All of my cards are numbered so I can keep track of how many cards I've made along with the month and year I made them.
The layout designs that I use on my cards are provided from the design team at Freshly Made Sketches and Mojo Monday card challenges. The color schemes on some of my cards are compliments of the Color Throwdown card challenge. I owe my thanks to them for the use of these challenges.

you're tea-riffic

you're tea-riffic
# 395-2014-11
Supplies used :
Cardstock : Red, White
Stamp Set : Thanks a latte clear stamp set
Other : Baker's Twine, Black Studio G craft marker, Red Crayola Marker, Dots embossing folder, Modern Wallpaper embossing folder.

Since I don't actually have this stamp set, I looked for it using google images. Once I found it, I saved the picture to a file on my computer, then I brought the image into my Windows Paint program, used the program to color them, and then printed it, cut it out by hand, and then used double-sided adhesive mounting circles to put them on my card.

After cutting out the tea cup, tea bag, spoon, and sentiment, I used a black studio G craft marker to outline the tea cup, tea bag, and spoon. Then I used a red Crayola marker to bring out the sentiment.

The layout design for this card is from this weeks Freshly Made Sketches card sketch challenge located at http://www.freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com

# 394-2014-11
Supplies used :
Cardstock : Certainly Celery, White, Green
Stamp set : Thanks a latte clear stamp set (sentiment, beans, latte cup)
Other : Honeycomb embossing folder

This weeks Freshly Made Sketches card sketch challenge located at http://www.freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com was the perfect sketch for me to make this particular card.

Since I don't actually have this stamp set, I found it using google images. I saved the picture of it to a file on my computer and then brought the image up into my Windows Paint program to color it in. Then I printed it up, cut it out, and put it on my card using double-sided adhesive circles.
Then I added the Baker's Twine.

Thank you for stopping by to visit my blog. I hope you will stop by again.

Thanks a latte

Thanks a latte
# 393-2014-11
Supplies used :
Cardstock : Fall and Halloween combo matstack, Chocolate Brown, White, Simple Stories 6x6 paper pack.
Stamp Set : Thanks a latte clear stamp set

The design layout for this card is from this weeks Mojo Monday card sketch challenge. This weeks challenge was to make a tall and skinny card that is 3.5 x 5.5. There are a few ways you can make your card this size. However, the way I did it is simply this......I took a regular size (5.5 x 4.25) blank pre-folded card, measured the 4.25 side to 3.5 and cut off the excess...making it a 3.5 x 5.5 card that opens from the left side instead of the bottom side.
You can find this card challenge at http://www/mojomonday.blogspot.com

Now, I wasn't exactly trying to use a "Fall" type background, but I thought this kind of printed cardstock was too pretty to not use as my main background and first layer.

For my second layer, I used a brown and white striped paper from my Simple Stories paper pack.

For my third layer, I used a checkered cardstock paper from my Fall and Halloween combo matstack. The next layer is just a white square.

The latte cup and the sentiment are both from the Thanks a latte clear stamp set. Now, since I don't actually have this stamp set, I googled it on google images, saved it to a file on my computer, and then brought the saved image into my Windows Paint program where I colored it in, re-saved it, printed it, and cut it out by hand. Then I used double-sided adhesive mounting circles to put them on my card, making my card complete.

Thank you for visiting my blog. Please come back soon to see more of my hand-made greeting cards.

White Christmas

White Christmas
# 392-2014-11
Supplies used :
Cardstock : Turquoise Blue, White, 12x12 light blue with white embossed dots scrapbook paper
Sentiment : Winter Whites rubber stamp set
Ink : Taken With Teal (sentiment)
Other : 5 blue gems, Baker's Twine, snowflake ribbon, turquoise ribbon, snowflake wire edge ribbon, Snowflake swirl embossing folder, white glitter.

First, I ran my paper through my bigkick using my snowflake swirl embossing folder. Then, after adding the snowflake wire edge ribbon, the turquoise blue ribbon, and the light blue snowflake ribbon, I added my Baker's Twine.

Before I added my sentiment from my Winter Whites stamp set, I smeared a light touch of glue on the white cardstock and then put white glitter on it and shook the excess off to give it a little bit of a shiny look.

I then added my sentiment and the blue gems to complete my card.

I am using this card in this weeks Freshly Made Sketches card sketch challenge, located at http://www.freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com. I hope you have enjoyed my card in this weeks challenge. Thank you for your comments in advance....

Christmas Ornament
# 391-2014-11
Supplies used :
Cardstock : White, Red, Christmas Combo Matstack, Simple Stories paper pad
Other : Snowflakes Swirl embossing folder, red button, Baker's Twine, Red gems, Christmas Ribbon, red crayon, white snowflake, Christmas Ornament sticker.

After running my white cardstock through my BigKick using my snowflakes swirl embossing folder, I laid a red crayon on its side and rubbed it over the embossed design to make the design stand out a little more.

Using paper from The Christmas Combo Matstack, I cut out a gift tag design and then used a red with white snowflakes Christmas ribbon and an ornament sticker for my theme.

The red and white striped paper is from my Simple Stories paper pad, along with using Baker's twine and a red button and then a white snowflake above it. Then I used a few red gems to give my card an added touch.

You can also find my card posted on this weeks Freshly Made Sketches card sketch challenge, which is located at http://www.freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com. Sentiment : "Twas The Night Before" clear stamp set
Ink : Handsome Hunter, Cherry Cobbler (both are Stampin' Up inks)

All 3 background papers are from the Christmas Combo Matstack. The first layer, I ran it through my BigKick using my snowflake swirls embossing folder. Then I added the other 2 layers for the background, using hunter green cardstock as a border.

Ornament : "Twas The Night Before" clear stamp set
Other : Merry Christmas ribbon, Hunter green ribbon, 1 red brad, double-sided adhesive mounting circles, Multi Sized Dots embossing folder.

Even though we are still in the month of November, you can never start too early with getting your Christmas cards finished. As you can see, my ornament and sentiment are both from a new clear stamp set I recently purchased that is called "Twas The Night Before". I just simply stamped them onto white paper with Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Up ink and cut them out before using a double-sided adhesive mounting circle to adhere them to the card.

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas
# 388-2014-11
Supplies used :
Cardstock : White and Cherry Cobbler
Ink : Cherry Cobbler, Handsome Hunter (Both are Stampin' Up inks)
Stamp set : Twas the Night Before clear stamp set
Other : "Noel" Christmas ribbon, Burgundy ribbon (Bow), 1 green brad, Multi sized dots embossing folder

I made this card for 2 reasons. The main reason is that this card was made for one of my Avon customers who is not only a customer, but a very dear and special friend. The other reason I made this card was for this weeks freshly made sketches challenge. I thought their card design challenge was perfect for how I wanted to use my stamp set to make this card. I stamped the ornament and mistletoe on white paper using Handsome Hunter ink. After doing so, I cut them out by hand and used double-sided mounting circles to adhere them onto the card to give them a dimensional look. I hope you have enjoyed your visit to my blog and I also hope you will visit again. You can find this weeks challenge at http://www.freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com. Thanks for stopping by...

Cancer Survivor

I am a Survivor
# 380-2014-10
I am a cancer survivor. It was 12 yrs ago that I was diagnosed with endometriosis and cervical cancer. I ended up having a complete hysterectomy at the age of 32. And by the Grace of God, my cancer has not returned, even though my doctor told me that some day the cancer could still come back and be pelvic cancer next time. I hope and pray that some day they find a cure so that children and adults won't have to go through the pain and suffering of cancer anymore.
**Supplies used :
Cardstock : light grey blank card, pink marble, grey with pink dots, pink and white zig zag.
Other : 5/8 inch pink ribbon (Bow), pink brad, pink ribbon sticker medley (heart, sentiment, cancer ribbons).

Think Pink...Survivor

Think Pink...Survivor
# 379-2014-10
As I am a cancer survivor myself, I thought this weeks mojo monday card sketch challenge was perfect for making this card. It was 12 yrs ago that I was diagnosed with cervical cancer and endometriosis. I ended up having a complete hysterectomy at the age of 32. Luckily, with the grace of God and having a good doctor, I no longer have cancer. However, there is still a chance that the cancer can come back some day and be in my pelvic area this time. I pray every day that the cancer stays away and does not come back and that they find a cure for those who are still suffering from cancer.

**Supplies used for my card are :
Cardstock : Light grey pre-folded blank card, pink marble cardstock, white cardstock, Snap color vibe paper pack from Simple Stories (zig zag paper), Dots & Stripes paper pad (grey with pink dots paper).
Sentiments : Pink Power stamp set, Believe stamp set
Extras : pink 5/8 inch ribbon, butterfly punch, grey 5/8 inch ribbon, pink scalloped border punch, music sheet embossing folder, dots embossing folder, pink brads, double-sided adhesive mounting circles.

Trick or Treat...

Trick or Treat
# 377-2014-10
Just 4 more weeks until it is Halloween....I hope that everyone will stay safe as they go to their Halloween festivities.
For this card, I used a black pre-folded blank cardstock. Since this weeks card sketch challenge called for a 5 1/2 x 3 1/2 tall and skinny card, all I did was take the pre-folded card and measured it across to the 3 1/2 inch mark and then I just simply cut it down to size. For the front of my card, I used an orange and white striped cardstock. Then I used and orange with white dots at the top. And even though the Mojo Monday design called for 3 banners, I only used 2. These 2 banners are cut from some 5/8 inch Halloween ribbons. And to add a little extra to my card, I added a black circle behind my Trick or Treat bag and then I used 3 foam fall leaves with a black 1/4 inch ribbon for the bow, which is attached by an orange brad.
I am entering this card in this weeks Mojo Monday card sketch challenge, located at http://www.mojomonday.blogspot.com. I hope you have enjoyed your visit to my blog. Thanksgiving Turkey...

Thanksgiving Turkey...Eat Ham
#376-2014-10
Well, the month of October is officially upon us, and this is my first card made for the month of October. This year is sure going by fast!!
For this card, I used a chocolate brown pre-folded blank card. For the front, I used a stampin' up paper piercing tool to put holes around the edge of a pearl white cardstock to have as a background. The brown with white dots and the orange zig zag papers are from the Snap color vibe 6x6 paper pad by Simple Stories collection. For my circles, I used the Circles #2 die cut (white circle) in front of a chocolate brown scalloped circle. The 2 fall leaves are foam leaves which has a 1/4 inch chocolate brown ribbon for the bow. The turkey is a clear rubber cling stamp. The final touch was adding 3 orange gems to the top.

Jingle Bells...

Jingle Bells
# 361-2014-09
Even though I have yet to win a card sketch challenge, and the other cards posted on them are much better than mine, I always enjoy making my cards and posting them on the challenges for others to see. I started making cards back in 2011 and have been making them ever since. It is my way of dealing with stress and keeping my mind focused on something else, even if it is just for a little while.
Supplies used for this card are : White Cardstock, Light Blue with snow falling 12x12 inch scrapbook paper, Christmas 12x12 scrapbook paper, Snowflakes 12x12 scrapbook paper, 3/8 inch light blue with snowflakes ribbon, 1/4 inch royal blue ribbon, 2 jingle bells, Christmas bulb clear stamp (stamped on metallic blue cardstock with black ink and cut out by hand), Jingle Bells sentiment clear stamp (stamped with Marina Mist ink), red and blue gems, snowflake swirls embossing folder, and blue/white baker's twine.
I am using this card in this weeks Freshly Made Sketches # 155 sketch challenge, located at http://www.freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com. Thank you for stopping by and leaving your much appreciated comments.

Then I took the lavender 1/4 inch ribbon and adhered one on each side the the arrow pattern. The flowers are from the Doodle Flowers clear stamp set, which I stamped onto white paper and colored them in using colored pencils before cutting them out by hand and adhering them using double-sided adhesives to give them a 3D look. Both the sentiment and Christmas trees are from the Vintage Christmas rubber stamp set and are adhered onto the card using double-sided circle adhesives. I also used the circles #2 die cut for the circle behind the trees. I used a 5/8 inch red Christmas ribbon on top of a 1 inch white ribbon. Then I used 2 shades of green baker's twine. Let it Snow...

Let it Snow
# 357-2014-09
I thought I would see how my snowflake swirl embossing folder looked on another color besides white....so....I thought I would try it on a metallic blue. I was happy to see that running it through the folder also gave the design kind of a white color, which made it easier for me to work with. This card is like the previous one that I made, only this one has a few minor changes. Such as, I used a white 5/8 inch ribbon behind the 3/8 inch ribbon. The other thing I did different is I used a few gems on some of the snowflakes just to give them a little character. I used Stampin' Up Marine Mist blue ink for the clear stamp sentiment, which after stamping it onto white paper, I cut out around it and the adhered it to my card using a circle double-sided adhesive sticker. Thank you for stopping by and leaving your much appreciated comments...

Snowflakes...

Let it Snow
# 356-2014-09
For those of you who may be visiting my site for the first time and are wondering about the numbering on my cards, well...I number them with the card number, followed by the year and month that I made the card. This way, should anyone want to purchase a card(s) that I have made, they can let me know the name and number of the card(s) they are interested in so it will be easier for me to look it up and know what card(s) they want.
Now on to telling a little bit about this card...
The supplies I used are : Cardstock : Bashful Blue blank pre-folded cardstock, White cardstock. Other supplies used are : Snowflake Swirl embossing folder, Baby blue 5/8 inch ribbon along with a 3/8 inch baby blue with white snowflakes ribbon to give it an added touch. The 2 snowflakes are from a snowflakes sticker medley. The sentiment is a clear stamp. I used Stampin' Up Marina Mist Ink to stamp it onto white paper and then I cut it out and used a circle double-sided adhesive to attach it to the middle of the ribbon. I am using this card in this weeks Freshly Made Sketches #153 sketch challenge, which is located at http://www.freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com. Thank you so much for stopping by. I am using this card in this weeks Freshly Made Sketches #153 challenge. If you enjoy making cards like I do and would like to post a card you have made, you can find the sketch challenge at http://www.freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com. Then I used a pair of pumpkins from a Pumpkins/Squash sticker medley. I used 2 different Fall ribbons. I used Stampin' Up Close to Cocoa ink for the sentiment, which is a clear stamp.
I hope you will forgive me for not going into more detail, as I am used to just getting to the point about things and leaving it at that. I appreciate you stopping by to see my cards, and your comments, whether good or bad, are accepted and appreciated. Should you have any pointers as to how to make my cards look better, please feel free to either leave me a comment or use the Contact Me link to send me an email. Thanks again for stopping by.
