All of my cards are numbered so I can keep track of how many cards I've made along with the month and year I made them.
The layout designs that I use on my cards are provided from the design team at Freshly Made Sketches and Mojo Monday card challenges. The color schemes on some of my cards are compliments of the Color Throwdown card challenge. I owe my thanks to them for the use of these challenges.

Well, it's another week for the Freshly Made Sketches design team and they have put another sketch challenge out there for us to follow. You can find this sketch challenge at http://www.freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com.

There is not really anything special that I can say about my card that doesn't already say for itself.

The butterflies are a clear stamp that came with matching die cut framelits. I used black ink to stamp them onto white paper and then I used the matching die cut framelit to cut them out and then I used double-sided dimensional adhesives to adhere them to my card.

The hexagons behind the big butterfly is a clear stamp from my Hexagon Sentiments clear stamp set. I used black ink to stamp it onto my card for a background image. Then I used a yellow blendabilities marker to color in some of the little hexagon shapes to high light them, along with high lighting 2 of the small butterflies.

Well, it's another week for Freshly Made Sketches. You can find this sketch challenge at http://www.freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com

My card this week is made with White and Night of Navy cardstock.

I recently bought a Stamp & Cuts clear stamps with matching die cuts and I thought this weeks sketch challenge was the perfect time to use it.

I stamped the larger butterfly onto white paper using black ink and then I colored it in using a blue blendabilities marker. Then I used the matching die cut to cut it out. The 2 smaller butterflies were stamped onto white paper using Taken With Teal ink and then cut out using the matching die cut framelit.

The sentiment was stamped on using Taken With Teal ink. Then I added the Baker's Twine to give my card a better look, along with using my paper piercing tool around the edge.

Get Well Soon

Get Well Soon
# 444-2015-06
Supplies used are :
Cardstock : Always Artichoke, White, Simple Stories paper pack
Ink : Always Artichoke
Other : 3 green gems, Labels framelits, butterfly, paper piercing tool
Sentiment : Brush Stroke Greetings rubber stamp set

This card can also be found in this weeks Freshly Made Sketches card challenge, which is located at http://www.freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com

For this weeks FMS challenge, I chose Always Artichoke and white for my colors because I wanted my colors to match with the big butterfly.

I was at Joann's doing some shopping, and they had a package of 10 Labels framelits on sale. Well, I just couldn't resist buying them to use on my cards. So, the scalloped oval and the label framelit for my sentiment is what I chose to use for my card.

I chose a Get Well Soon sentiment from my Brush Stroke Greetings rubber stamp set because I wanted to make a card for my ex-mother-in-law who is in the hospital right now, and I wanted her to know that I am thinking about her.

As for the big butterfly.....well, I just happened to find it at the Dollar Tree and I thought it would look good on a card. The sentiment was stamped on using Always Artichoke ink from Stampin' Up.

I chose to do the final touches with a paper piercing tool and then added the 3 gems.

Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you will stop by to visit again soon...

Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday
#443-2015-06
I made this card for my 8 yr old niece who is turning 9 on the 17th of this month. Other than my own 2 adult children, Echo is Auntie's little angel....

I took a white doily and sponged on the brown and red inks. The balloons are a wood stamp. I used brown, red, and green inks to stamp them onto white paper and then I cut them out by hand and used toothpicks instead of Baker's Twine for the strings. The Hello Kitty cup cake is a digital image that I printed up and cut out. I used blendability markers to color the cup cake.

Supplies used are :
Cardstock : White, Chocolate brown, Simple Stories paper pack
Ink : Chocolate chip (sentiment), green, red, Close to Cocoa (brown balloon)
Other : toothpicks, chocolate brown ribbon, blendabilities markers, doily
