All of my cards are numbered so I can keep track of how many cards I've made along with the month and year I made them.
The layout designs that I use on my cards are provided from the design team at Freshly Made Sketches and Mojo Monday card challenges. The color schemes on some of my cards are compliments of the Color Throwdown card challenge. I owe my thanks to them for the use of these challenges.
Thank you for stopping by.

Just a little note

#610-2019-06
You will have to forgive me if I don't say too much about my card! I have been dealing with a few health issues that have been preventing me from being able to make any cards for the last few weeks.
I am hoping and praying that the good Lord will help me to find out what exactly is going on with my body and that He will heal me, so I can get back to my normal life again.
With that being said, I was at Joann's the other day to see what kind of new craft supplies they may have and I came across these little paper packs that I thought the paper in them were really pretty. The background paper on this card is from one of those paper packs.
The flower and leaves are from a pack of embellishments that I found at the Dollar Tree.
The sentiment is a stamp that came with a stamp & cut set I found at Joann's.
The banner is a die cut that I have had in my own personal stock for quite some time now.
I decided to make this card a 5x7 inch card instead of the usual 4.25 x 5.5 inches.
Thanks for visiting my blog. I hope you like my card.

You're so sweet

#609-2019-03.
This is my first time making a 5x7" card. I'm used to making the usual 4.25x5.5" cards. It doesn't look the way I was hoping it would, but I am posting my card on here anyway.
I used copic markers to color the pieces after stamping them and cutting them out. I adhered them to the card with double sided sticky circles.

Best Wishes

#608-2019-03.
The layout design for this card is from this week's Mojo Monday.
It's the Mojo Sketch 511.
I didn't realize that the name of the blog was changed to Poetic Artistry, so it's been a long time since I've posted a card on this challenge.
With that being said, let me tell you about my card...
I chose a forest green for my card base.
For my card front, I chose a Sahara Sand cardstock, which is embossed with a dots embossing folder.
Then I used a Slate blue which is embossed with a rose bouquet embossing folder. I gave it a chocolate brown border.
I also used chocolate brown for the scalloped circle framelit die. The white circle is a stitched circle framelit die. And the pine trees are framelit dies.
The sentiment is a wood mount stamp and is stamped with black ink.
I added the pearls to give it an added look.
Thanks for stopping by.

Happily Ever After

#607-2019-03.
My hubby thought it would look good to have 2 trees on both sides, so I gave it a try, and here is how it turned out!
I used the same pine tree die cuts that I used on my last card.
The card stock I used is from an earth tone card stock pack, which I have embossed with a dots and modern wallpaper embossing folders.
For the wedding couple, I used Marina Mist stamping up ink to stamp them onto white paper and then I cut them out, put a double sided sticky dot on the back, and adhered it to the card front.
Below the wedding couple, I added a piece of lace ribbon and pearls to make it look like the wedding couple are standing on a platform.
The sentiment is a sticker that I got out of a wedding card stock matstack.
I guess you could also call this card A Woodland Wedding instead of just Happily Ever After!!
I hope you have enjoyed your visit.

Best Wishes

#606-2019-03.
My husband thought that a wedding card with pine trees would look cool, so I decided to make one. It just so happens that this week's freshly made sketches card challenge was the perfect layout design for it.

The supplies that I used are :
**Cardstocks :
Earth tone Cool textured cardstock, certainly celery, textured lavender, Hunter green, light pastel yellow.
**Die cut framelits:
Christmas pine trees, scalloped ovals, stitched ovals.
**Stamp set :
Essential Sayings clear stamps (sentiment)
**Other :
Lace ribbon, 1/4" pastel pink ribbon, pearls, dots embossing folder, modern wallpaper embossing folder.

Mr & Mrs

#605-2019-03.
My step-son is getting married in August and he and his fiance have decided to have earth tone colors for their wedding. So, I made this earth tone wedding card.
I used a dots embossing folder and a damask 2 embossing folder, along with flower heart die cuts, scalloped circle framelit, circle framelit, ribbon, pearls, and a butterfly.
The sentiment is from Hero Arts stamp and cut Yes.

Best Wishes

#603-2019-03.
I kinda goofed up a little bit on this card on accident. At first, I was going to use certainly celery on the leaf stamp from the Fabulous Florets stamp set, but then decided it didn't look very good just being stamped onto the card front, so then I decided to cut out 2 of the Flower heart die cut framelits instead.
For the background, I used the dots embossing folder and the damask embossing folder. The flowers are from the Fabulous Florets stamp set. I used Taken with Teal ink to highlight the edges of the card front and the scalloped circle for the sentiment.
Thanks for stopping by to visit my blog.

Mr. and Mrs

#602-2019-02.
I saw one similar to this one on Pinterest. I made a few changes to make this one my own, instead of an exact look a like of the one on Pinterest. The changes I made are... The bow is on the left instead of on the right, the sentiment is different, I added pearls, and I used my hearts embossing folder instead of a dots embossing folder.
Thanks for stopping by!

Celebrate

#601-2019-02.
The layout design for this card was my own idea.

Congratulations

#600-2019-02.
I saw this card on Pinterest, so I made one similar to the one I saw.
For my card, the butterflies are different than the one on Pinterest. Also, I added the pearls and a sentiment to it.
Thanks for stopping by.

Mr. & Mrs.

#599-2019-02.
My step-son is getting married in August, so I wanted to make him and his wife to be a special wedding day card. I started looking on Pinterest to get some ideas for a special card and I came across one like this one along with some other ones that I like.
I made this one first, and I am going to make the other ones I like as well. And then later on, I will decide which one I will be giving them on their wedding day.
I made a couple of minor changes because I didn't want my card to look exactly like the one I saw on Pinterest. I used a regular circle on a scalloped circle. I also changed the sentiment.
The top part is embossed with my dots embossing folder. The bottom part is embossed with my damask #2 embossing folder.
The sentiment is from Hero Arts stamp and cut Yes.
Thanks for stopping by.

I am here for you

#598-2019-02.
I've been watching more videos on youtube, trying to learn more card making techniques. Now I'm trying my hand at creating sunsets.
It doesn't quite look like I wanted it to, but at least I tried. And I'm sure that with more practice, I will get a handle on it and my sunsets will turn out better.
This card is for this weeks FMS challenge.
The whole entire image is done with versa magic chalk inks.
Colors used are, yellow, orange, red, black, and white.
The sentiment is from Hero Arts So Sorry stamp and cut.
The birds are from Coastal clear stamp set.
The trees are a wood mount stamp.
Thanks for stopping by.

Thinking of you

#595-2019-02.
This is for this weeks Color Throwdown challenge.
Stamp sets used are :
Down by the seaside, Coastal, and All Year Greetings.
Versa magic chalk inks used are :
Spring Pansy, Sea Breeze, Mango, and Thatched Straw.
Other supplies used are :
Red watercolor marker and a paper piercing tool.
For the background, I sponged spring pansy on first, then I sponged on thatched straw with just a hint of sea breeze. I used mango on the sun.
I used a red watercolor marker to color in the lighthouse.
My main goal was to make it look like there was a sunset behind my lighthouse, which is from the Down by the seaside clear stamp set. The bigger birds above the lighthouse are from the Coastal clear stamp set. The sentiment is from All Year Greetings clear stamp set. I used a paper piercing tool on the red border.
I had fun making this card for this weeks challenge.

Fabulous Day

#594-2019-02.
My 12 year old niece has a friend whose birthday is this month, so she asked me to make a card so she can give it to her friend. And since the friend loves unicorns and rainbows, I couldn't resist trying out my new unicorn stamp and cut sets.
The unicorn and castle is from the Hampton Arts Unicorn birthday stamp and cut. The rainbow and sentiment are from Hero Arts Unicorn stamp and cut set. They are colored in with using versa magic chalk inks and watercolor markers.
I used the Clouds embossing folder and then versa magic chalk inks to give them some color. I also used a clouds crafting scissors to cut out the big clouds behind the castle and then I used 2 different versa magic chalk inks to give them color. First, I sponged on some Spring Pansy and then I sponged on some Thatched Straw.
My final touch was adding the silver gems after stamping on the sentiment.
 Thanks for stopping by!

You are Magical

#593-2019-02.
I used the Hero Arts Unicorn stamp and cut set for my theme.
I also used watercolor markers and versa magic chalk inks for the coloring.

Thank you

#592-2019-01.
I was looking on YouTube last week for techniques with making cards and I came across a video about a dryer sheet technique. After watching the video and a couple other videos on this technique, I decided I just had to try it!! It doesn't quite look as good as I'd hoped, but here it is anyway...
First, I used an aqua blue ink from StudioG inks to stamp the flower from the Fabulous Florets stamp set onto the white card panel. Then I used an adhesive spray and I sprayed it on the card panel. Then I took a used dryer sheet and put it onto the adhesive sprayed card panel. I folded the dryer sheet over the backside and adhered it to the back. Then I sprinkled on some very fine silver glitter and shook off the excess.
I used the other flowers from the Fabulous Florets stamp set along with the leaf stem for the card theme. I used Close to Cocoa ink for the leaf stem.
For the flowers, I used copic markers to color them.
The sentiment is from Hero Arts ribbon messages stamp and cut set. I highlighted it with a light blue versa magic chalk ink.
I realize that the stampin up dotted scallop border punch is retired, but I used it anyway, with hopes that maybe stampin up will eventually un-retire it! I think this border punch looks good on certain cards!

Happy Birthday

#591-2019-01.
This is my first attempt at using the dryer sheet technique on a card. I saw a video on YouTube showing this technique and I decided that I just had to try it!!
I used the damask 2 embossing folder and then I used a wine red copic marker to color the embossed design.
Then I sprayed a little adhesive spray onto the card panel. Then I put the used dryer sheet over the card panel. Then I sprinkled some silver glitter on it and shook off the excess.
I used 2 shades of blue bakers twine, which is held on by a brad on the front and adhered to the back.
The ribbon and the sentiment are from hero arts ribbon messages stamp and cut.
I hope you've enjoyed your visit! Thanks for stopping by!

My Sweetheart

#589-2019-01.
This is another card for this weeks freshly made sketches card challenge.
I decided on a Valentine theme for this one. And since the embellishment is black, red, and pink, I chose to use those three colors with my cardstock papers.
The two hearts in the corners are stamped on with black ink. I also used the same three colors for the dotted scallop border punch for behind the embellishment.
I added the pearls for an added look.
Thank you for stopping by to visit. Please stop by again.

With love and sympathy

#588-2019-01
I made this card 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 inches. I chose a sympathy theme because of my father passing away last Friday, January 11th.
I used a bigz top note die cut, which I cut in half after running the top note through my bigkick machine.
The leaf pattern is a framelit die that I found and purchased on Amazon. I added the butterfly, along with the pearls.
The sentiment is from Hero Arts So sorry stamp and cut set.
Thanks for stopping by to visit. Please come again.

Friend... you're the Best

#586-2019-01.
I've made this card for the following 2 challenges :
Freshly Made Sketches and Color Throwdown card challenge.
I almost didn't make a card for this week because I found out yesterday that my dad passed away. But then I decided that maybe it would help me get my mind off of it to make it, so here it is.
The layout design is for the freshly made sketches challenge and the colors I used are for color throwdown challenge.
I used a patterned paper from my Dots, stripes, & plaids matstack, followed by a glossy black cardstock for a border behind the white front.
For my theme, I used black ink to stamp on the flowers and then I used copic markers to color them in. Both the flowers and the sentiment is from Petals from scratch clear stamp set by Fiskars.
I hope you like my card and have enjoyed your visit to my blog. Please visit again. Thanks for stopping by..

Happy for you!

#585-2019-01.
For this card, I chose a yellow blank card. Then I added an olive green and a black behind the white.
For the background picture, I used black ink to stamp on a flower from my Fiskars Flora clear stamp set. Then I used a yellow watercolor marker to color in the flowers, giving it a nice background.
I used a scalloped oval framelit, which is highlighted on the edges with Spanish Olive chalk ink by versa magic.
The sentiment is from my Fiskars Petals From Scratch clear stamp set, which is stamped on with black ink.
I also added black and yellow bakers twine behind the sentiment. I also added a black brad on all 4 corners.
This completes my card.
