All of my cards are numbered so I can keep track of how many cards I've made along with the month and year I made them.
The layout designs that I use on my cards are provided from the design team at Freshly Made Sketches and Mojo Monday card challenges. The color schemes on some of my cards are compliments of the Color Throwdown card challenge. I owe my thanks to them for the use of these challenges.

Key to my heart

You are the Key to my Heart
# 534-2016-08
I went to JoAnn's craft store the other day just to see what new stuff they had as far as craft supplies are concerned, and I found this cut and emboss die set that is called Lost & Found. So, I thought the key die cut would look good on a card. So I used my BigKick to cut out 2 keys and the small heart, and then used my Stamp & Cut Yes die cut for the bigger heart and added a glittered heart on top of it to make it stand out a little more before putting it in between the 2 keys. Then I used Baker's Twine with the small heart. I also used my scalloped squares die cut and then sponged on some red ink on the edges to make it stand out a little more. And after using double-sided dimensional stickers to adhere the keys and the hearts onto my card, I used my alphabet stamp set to stamp on the sentiment using black ink.
I hope you have enjoyed my card for this weeks http://www.freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com card sketch challenge.

Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday
# 532-2016-07
The image I used is a digi stamp I found on Pinterest. I thought it would look cute on a card, so I printed it and used it with pastel yellow and turquoise cardstock papers. The sentiment is a rubber stamp and is stamped on using black ink. Then I used Baker's twine to give my card an added image.
I am entering this card in this weeks http://www.freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com card sketch challenge.

Just Because

Just Because
# 530-2016-07
My theme on my card is an idea that I got from Kathy from The Daily Marker. I recently purchased one of those little relaxation coloring books that has mandala pictures in it to color with markers. Yesterday, while on facebook, I saw a post from Kathy's The Daily Marker website showing how to make handmade greeting cards using pictures that you have colored, such as from the type of coloring book I just mentioned. So, I chose a mandala picture that I wanted to use on a card and then I used my markers to color it in before cutting it out and putting it on my card.
The sentiment is from my All Year Greetings stamp set. The monarch butterflies are cut out from my hand punch.
I am posting this card in this weeks http://www.freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com as well as in Kathy's Daily Marker card challenge, You can find her challenge at http://www.thedailymarker.com.

Ballerina Birthday Girl

Ballerina Birthday Girl
525-2016-06
I've had this Ballerina bear wood stamp for several months, but never really thought about using it until now. So, I used black ink to stamp it onto white paper, then I used Gingerbread chalk ink with chalk applicators to color it in. I also used Pixie Dust and Pink Grapefruit chalk inks to color in the tutu and shoes. Then I used my 1/2 inch corner punch on the corners.
The cardstocks that I used are white, gingerbread, and a very light tan. And to give my card an added touch, I used a pastel pink ribbon and bow at the top with a pink heart button. The sentiment is a sticker embellishment. I also ran my dots embossing folder through my Sissix Bigkick before I attached everything to the front of my card. And this completes my card.
This card is also posted in this weeks http://www.freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com card sketch challenge. I enjoy playing along with the challenge, even though my cards aren't as gorgeous as the ones posted in the challenge. Any suggestions on how I can improve my cards or what I could have done different are greatly appreciated. I am always open to any and all suggestions.

With Love

With Love
# 520-2016-04
Supplies used are :
Cardstock : Great White, Burgundy (Parisian Nights paper pack), Hunter Green (Gorgeous Greens paper pack), Rose Bouquet and Buttons & Blooms (Vintage Lace Collection from Papercraft Inspirations).
Tools : Sissix BigKick, Cherry Blossom Embossing Folder, Monarch Butterfly Punch, Chalk Applicators.
Other : Sequins, Neutral White Pearl beads and Neutral White Pearl adhesive gems.
Versa Magic Chalk Inks : Pixie Dust (Pink) and Thatched Straw (Yellow).

Since this is my first time joining the Fusion card challenge, let me tell you that I number all of my cards with a card number, the year and month they were made. This way, if someone is interested in one of my cards, all they have to do is tell me the card number and I will know which card they care interested in. I also number them so I know how many cards I have made since I first started making cards about 5 yrs ago. So, now that you know this, let me tell you about my card...

First of all, I used an 8 1/2 x 11" white cardstock for the blank card. I cut it down to 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 and then scored it at 4 1/4 and folded it in half. Then I cut a piece of burgundy paper and cut it down to size and then did the same with the white paper on top of it.
I used my cherry blossom embossing folder with my BigKick to emboss the background. Then I used my Versa Magic chalk inks with chalk applicators to color in the cherry blossom flowers and then added some red sequins on the pink ones. I used gel pens to outline the centers of the cherry blossoms.
The butterflies were cut out using a butterfly punch. I used hunter green paper from my Gorgeous Greens paper pack. I used Neutral white pearl beads on them to make them stand out a little better.
The rest of the paper I used is called Rose Bouquet and Buttons & Bows. These papers are from the Vintage Lace collection from Papercraft Inspirations. I added a neutral white pearl adhesive gem to the sentiment tag.
I'm not very good at writing blogs, so I mainly just try to write about what I used to make my cards. I hope you have enjoyed your visit and will return again. Please feel free to follow me on bloglovin or join me on my networked blogs. Or you can follow by email. Thanks again...

Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday
# 519-2016-04
For this weeks Freshly Made Sketches challenge, I chose to make a birthday card using the following supplies :
Cardstock : core'dinations Beachside paper pack (Cut to 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and scored and folded at 4 1/4"), Turquoise Blue, Sweet Tweets & Decoupage Delights from Papercraft Inspirations Spring Flowers collection.
Other : 1 light blue brad, 3 Cool light blue pearl adhesive gems, 2 Neutral white craft beads, Lace Ribbon, Poinsettia Thinlit Die, Monarch Butterfly punch.

The main background paper is Sweet Tweets from the Spring Flowers collection from Papercraft Inspirations. It is attached to a Turquoise Blue and then a light pastel yellow.
The stem and the sentiment is from the Decoupage Delights.
I used my Monarch butterfly punch with turquoise paper for the butterflies. Then I used my poinsettia thinlit dies for the flower, which has a light blue brad in the middle. I added the pearl craft beads to make the butterflies stand out and then I added the lace ribbon and the blue pearl gems for an added look.
I enjoyed making this card for this weeks http://www.freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com card challenge. I hope you will enjoy it, too. Thanks for visiting me.

Feel better soon

Feel better soon
# 515-2016-04
I decided to make another card for this weeks http://www.freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com card sketch challenge.
For this card, I decided to use a pink blank card with a white cardstock. For the foreground, I used my Bigz Top Note die cut with another white paper and then I highlighted the edge of it with Regal Rose Stampin' Up ink.
For my theme, I cut out the Fabulous Florets flowers and leaf stem, sponged on the Regal Rose ink to give them some color, colored the leaf stem, and then stuck them onto my card. Then I added the neutral white pearl adhesive gem to give my flowers a better look.
I used my Stamp & Cut Butterflies clear stamp set with matching framelit die cut for the butterflies. I used Garden Green Stampin' Up ink to stamp them onto paper before using the matching framelit to cut them out with my Sissix Big kick machine.
For the 2 shapes in the middle, I used craft ribbon instead of regular paper. Then I used a light green brad on the one side of it with a green butterfly next to my flower.
The sentiment is from my All Year Greetings clear stamp set. I stamped it on using Garden Green Ink.
I also used my Stampin' Up paper piercing tool for the outside border around the Bigz Top Note.

Thank you for visiting my blog for this weeks http://www.freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com card sketch challenge.
For the theme, I decided to use my Splatters Stencil with my Latte Love clear stamp set. I used a white blank card with chocolate brown and then another white for the background. For the stencil image, I used More Mustard and Really Rust Stampin' Up inks. I used black ink to stamp the latte cup from my Latte Love stamp set onto white paper and then I used colored pencils to color it and then I cut it out and used a double-sided dimensional sticker to put it on my card. Then I used heart gems to give it an added touch. The sentiment is also from my Latte Love stamp set, which is stamped onto my card using Chocolate Chip Stampin' Up ink.

Welcome Baby Girl

Welcome Baby Girl
# 505-2016-03
This makes card number 505 since I first started making handmade greeting cards about 6 years ago. I thought that this weeks Mojo Monday card sketch challenge was perfect for making a baby card.

I used a white card blank with pink and then another white for the first 2 layers. I used my buttons embossing folder for my background image. Then I cut pieces from a 12 x 12 sheet of scrapbooking paper for my front images. I used my scalloped circle framelit die to give my dimensional sticker a little bit of character. The Welcome Baby is a wood mount stamp. I used black ink when stamping it onto my card.

Just saying Hello...

Just saying Hello
# 494-2016-02
Well, I finally decided what card to make for this weeks Freshly Made Sketches challenge. Here is the link to it : http://www.freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com

I thought a St. Patrick's Day theme would be good for my card for this week. And since I don't have very much to work with for this holiday, I went to Google images and searched graphics and clipart, which is where I got the pic of the little doggie as well as the bow and the clover.

I added the ribbon at the bottom from my own ribbon collection as well as the sequins. The patterned paper to the right is from a 12 x 12 sheet of St. Patrick's Day scrapbook paper. The sentiment is from my Brush Stroke Greetings Sentiments rubber stamps. I used my scalloped squares framelit die cut for the border behind the little doggie picture. Then I used a 1 inch corner punch for the picture.

I hope you like my card. Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day
# 491-2016-02
It's another week for the MojoMonday challenge and this card makes the 491st card I have made since I first started making cards about 6 yrs ago.
Here is a link to the MojoMonday challenge : http://www.mojomonday.blogspot.com.

And here is a little bit about my card....

I chose a Pink blank card for the main part of my card. On the front, I chose a green color. I'm not sure of what shade of green it is, but I thought it was the perfect shade of green to go with the pink.
Next, I used my Photo Frame embossing folder to give my background a cool looking border.

Then I chose some white lace ribbon to go around the main theme with pink brads on the corners. I chose a Mother's Day theme this week. The patterned paper I used is from the Pretty In Pastels and Mum's The Word paper collections that I downloaded and printed up from the Papercraft Inspirations website.
My sentiment is from Mum's The Word. The sentiment is attached to a pink circle and a scalloped circle. I used a circle framelit die cut with pink paper and then I chose the same shade of green with a scalloped circle die cut. All of this put together gives my card kind of a vintage look.

Thank you for stopping by. Comments are welcome and appreciated.

# 490-2016-02

This is another card that I made for this weeks http://www.freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com card sketch challenge.

A midnight metallic blue blank card, silver twine, sequins, a metallic silver heart that was cut out using a star framelit die cut, a pink scalloped heart that was cut out using a scalloped heart framelit die cut, and some red heart gems make this card complete. The sentiment is stamped on metallic silver paper with a pink border and with using Night of Navy Stampin' Up ink. I used single alphabet letter rubber stamps for the sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by.

Love you Valentine...

Love you Valentine
# 489-2016-02
This is my card for this weeks http://www.freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com card sketch challenge.

I used an off-white blank card with an off-white cardstock on the front for the background. I used my 1 inch corner punch for the corners and then I used a sponge with red ink to outline the edge to give my card kind of a bordered look.

The pink-inked image behind the heart is a wood-mount stamp, along with the 2 cupid's arrows. The "love you" heart is a clear stamp from my Stamp & Cut Yes set from Hero Arts. I used red ink to stamp it onto white paper and then used the matching die cut framelit to cut it out using my Sissix BigKick machine. I used black ink to stamp the arrows onto white paper and then I cut them out by hand to put them behind my "love you" heart.

The "Valentine" sentiment is from my Holiday Sentiments rubber stamp set, which is stamped on using pink ink and then bordered with red ink.

I added 3 pink scalloped hearts with red gem hearts for an added look. Along with using 3 sequins.

I hope you have enjoyed my card for this weeks challenge. Thank you for stopping by.

Supplies Used :
Cardstock : White blank card, Perfect Plum, patterned paper from Papercraft Inspirations
(Mum's the Word and Pretty in Pastels)
Sentiment : Papercraft Inspirations
Other : white lace ribbon

Here is my card for this weeks http://www.freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com card challenge.

Mother's Day is still 3 months away, however, I just couldn't resist using this gorgeous patterned paper that was a free download from Papercraft Inspirations website.

The names of the 2 patterned papers I used are called "Mum's the Word", which is the flowered paper at the top of my card. The other one is called "Pretty In Pastels", which is the patterned paper at the bottom of my card. Both patterned papers are attached to a Perfect Plum cardstock, giving my card a bordered look.

The sentiment heart was from the "Mum's the Word", along with the little purple strip that lays on top of the bottom of the heart. Using the white lace ribbon was my own idea. I thought it would look nicer than using another patterned paper behind the heart.

Thank you, Narelle, for giving us such an easy layout design for this weeks challenge! It worked perfect for the way I wanted to use these patterned papers.

Thanks for stopping by and for leaving your wonderful comments.. Please come back soon!

LOVE
# 483-2016-01
Supplies used :
Cardstock : pastel blue, white, patterned paper from papercraft inspirations, pink
Sentiment : Valentine wood mount stamp
Ink : faded jeans from distress inks
Other : Baker's twine, Cool Light Blue Pearl adhesive gems, light blue brads
Tools : Paper piercing tool, scalloped oval framelit, scalloped heart framelit, Stamp and cut flowers clear stamp and framelit.

This card is also posted in this weeks http://www.freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com card challenge.

I didn't really say anything in my last card post, so I will say something about this post.

I was looking on Papercraft Inspirations website where they have free downloads for patterned papers and sentiments. I saw this pretty patterned paper, so I printed it up and decided to use it on another card for this weeks card challenge.

I used my patterned paper with a pastel blue blank card. On the front, I used pastel blue with a scalloped oval framelit and then white paper with a labels framelit. If you take a close look, you will see that I used a paper piercing tool on the scalloped oval. I also used 3 light blue brads around the sentiment, which I used faded jeans distress ink and then I colored the word in using a pink colored pencil.

I decided to use a pink scalloped heart behind a stamp and cut flower with a cool light blue pearl adhesive gem along with baker's twine to give my card an added look. I also used the paper piercing tool on the scalloped heart to highlight it as well.

Thank you for stopping by. Any comments and/or suggestions on how I can improve my cards is greatly appreciated...
