All of my cards are numbered so I can keep track of how many cards I've made along with the month and year I made them.
The layout designs that I use on my cards are provided from the design team at Freshly Made Sketches and Mojo Monday card challenges. The color schemes on some of my cards are compliments of the Color Throwdown card challenge. I owe my thanks to them for the use of these challenges.

Happy birthday

Supplies used are :

Flourish Thinlet dies
Paper butterflies
Handmade Essentials (Sentiment)
Pearls,
Peacock feathers distress ink
Mowed lawn distress ink.
Close to my heart embossing folder.

This is a 5"x7" card.
After embossing the card front, I distressed it using Peacock feathers distress ink.
Then I ran my Flourish thinlet dies through my BigKick machine to cut them out to use them as my theme. I situated the flowers together and then used a little dot of glue to glue on the pearls.
Then I situated the leaf pattern and then added the butterflies.
For the sentiment, I layed a stencil on a piece of white cardstock, traced it out, then cut it out and distressed it with Mowed lawn distressed ink.
The sentiment is from Handmade Essentials clear stamps from scrapbooking.com. It is stamped on with black ink and is adhered on with double-sided circles.

Congratulations

#575-2018-11.
The layout design for this card is for this weeks Freshly Made Sketches #366 card sketch challenge.
I used a damask embossing folder for the background image, which I highlighted with red ink to give it a border against the white blank card.
I used a green ink for the leaf from the fabulous florets stamp set. The flowers are from fabulous florets stamp set as well. First I used a pink watercolor paint to paint them and then I sponged on a little red ink to highlight them.
My sentiment is from the ribbon messages stamp & Cut clear stamp set. I highlighted the ribbon with red ink. Then I added a pearl to both flowers and to the sentiment ribbon.
The butterfly is from a sticker set I bought at the Dollar store.

#574-2018-11
Here's another card showing this weeks FMS364 card challenge layout design. The sentiment is from my Ribbon Messages stamp and cut set. I also used my new Fabulous Florets stamp set that I found and purchased on eBay. The butterfly was cut out using a monarch butterfly hand punch.
For my fabulous florets flowers, I used black ink to stamp them onto white paper. Then I used watercolor paints to color them. Then I sponged on a little bit of white ink onto them to soften the blue down a little bit.
For my final step, I sponged on a little Always Artichoke ink around the outer edges of my card to give it an antique look. I did the same to my ribbon message banner. I hope you like my card and I thank you for visiting my blog.

Just Because

Just Because
# 530-2016-07
My theme on my card is an idea that I got from Kathy from The Daily Marker. I recently purchased one of those little relaxation coloring books that has mandala pictures in it to color with markers. Yesterday, while on facebook, I saw a post from Kathy's The Daily Marker website showing how to make handmade greeting cards using pictures that you have colored, such as from the type of coloring book I just mentioned. So, I chose a mandala picture that I wanted to use on a card and then I used my markers to color it in before cutting it out and putting it on my card.
The sentiment is from my All Year Greetings stamp set. The monarch butterflies are cut out from my hand punch.
I am posting this card in this weeks http://www.freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com as well as in Kathy's Daily Marker card challenge, You can find her challenge at http://www.thedailymarker.com.

With Love

With Love
# 520-2016-04
Supplies used are :
Cardstock : Great White, Burgundy (Parisian Nights paper pack), Hunter Green (Gorgeous Greens paper pack), Rose Bouquet and Buttons & Blooms (Vintage Lace Collection from Papercraft Inspirations).
Tools : Sissix BigKick, Cherry Blossom Embossing Folder, Monarch Butterfly Punch, Chalk Applicators.
Other : Sequins, Neutral White Pearl beads and Neutral White Pearl adhesive gems.
Versa Magic Chalk Inks : Pixie Dust (Pink) and Thatched Straw (Yellow).

Since this is my first time joining the Fusion card challenge, let me tell you that I number all of my cards with a card number, the year and month they were made. This way, if someone is interested in one of my cards, all they have to do is tell me the card number and I will know which card they care interested in. I also number them so I know how many cards I have made since I first started making cards about 5 yrs ago. So, now that you know this, let me tell you about my card...

First of all, I used an 8 1/2 x 11" white cardstock for the blank card. I cut it down to 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 and then scored it at 4 1/4 and folded it in half. Then I cut a piece of burgundy paper and cut it down to size and then did the same with the white paper on top of it.
I used my cherry blossom embossing folder with my BigKick to emboss the background. Then I used my Versa Magic chalk inks with chalk applicators to color in the cherry blossom flowers and then added some red sequins on the pink ones. I used gel pens to outline the centers of the cherry blossoms.
The butterflies were cut out using a butterfly punch. I used hunter green paper from my Gorgeous Greens paper pack. I used Neutral white pearl beads on them to make them stand out a little better.
The rest of the paper I used is called Rose Bouquet and Buttons & Bows. These papers are from the Vintage Lace collection from Papercraft Inspirations. I added a neutral white pearl adhesive gem to the sentiment tag.
I'm not very good at writing blogs, so I mainly just try to write about what I used to make my cards. I hope you have enjoyed your visit and will return again. Please feel free to follow me on bloglovin or join me on my networked blogs. Or you can follow by email. Thanks again...

Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday
# 519-2016-04
For this weeks Freshly Made Sketches challenge, I chose to make a birthday card using the following supplies :
Cardstock : core'dinations Beachside paper pack (Cut to 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and scored and folded at 4 1/4"), Turquoise Blue, Sweet Tweets & Decoupage Delights from Papercraft Inspirations Spring Flowers collection.
Other : 1 light blue brad, 3 Cool light blue pearl adhesive gems, 2 Neutral white craft beads, Lace Ribbon, Poinsettia Thinlit Die, Monarch Butterfly punch.

The main background paper is Sweet Tweets from the Spring Flowers collection from Papercraft Inspirations. It is attached to a Turquoise Blue and then a light pastel yellow.
The stem and the sentiment is from the Decoupage Delights.
I used my Monarch butterfly punch with turquoise paper for the butterflies. Then I used my poinsettia thinlit dies for the flower, which has a light blue brad in the middle. I added the pearl craft beads to make the butterflies stand out and then I added the lace ribbon and the blue pearl gems for an added look.
I enjoyed making this card for this weeks http://www.freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com card challenge. I hope you will enjoy it, too. Thanks for visiting me.

Feel better soon

Feel better soon
# 515-2016-04
I decided to make another card for this weeks http://www.freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com card sketch challenge.
For this card, I decided to use a pink blank card with a white cardstock. For the foreground, I used my Bigz Top Note die cut with another white paper and then I highlighted the edge of it with Regal Rose Stampin' Up ink.
For my theme, I cut out the Fabulous Florets flowers and leaf stem, sponged on the Regal Rose ink to give them some color, colored the leaf stem, and then stuck them onto my card. Then I added the neutral white pearl adhesive gem to give my flowers a better look.
I used my Stamp & Cut Butterflies clear stamp set with matching framelit die cut for the butterflies. I used Garden Green Stampin' Up ink to stamp them onto paper before using the matching framelit to cut them out with my Sissix Big kick machine.
For the 2 shapes in the middle, I used craft ribbon instead of regular paper. Then I used a light green brad on the one side of it with a green butterfly next to my flower.
The sentiment is from my All Year Greetings clear stamp set. I stamped it on using Garden Green Ink.
I also used my Stampin' Up paper piercing tool for the outside border around the Bigz Top Note.
Thank you for stopping by to visit.

Framelits : stamp & cut butterflies, stamp & cut flowers, scalloped squares
Die cuts : branch w/ leaves die cut
Stamp sets : stamp & cut butterflies, stamp & cut flowers, handwritten sentiments

I decided to make another card for this weeks http://www.mojomonday.blogspot.com card challenge.

However, I decided to make a square card instead of the normal 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" card.

I used a scalloped square framelit with pastel green cardstock for the blank card. Then I used green marble cardstock for the first layer or background. Then I cut a strip of a striped paper from my Dots & Stripes paper pack and used it behind my flowers.

I used my branch w/ leaves die cut with hunter green paper to go behind my flowers, which are stamped onto white paper with Lavender Lace ink and cut out with the matching framelit.

I used Elegant eggplant for the 2 butterflies, which are also cut out using the matching framelit.
The sentiment is stamped on using Perfect Plum ink. Then I added the sequins to give my card an added look.
I hope you will enjoy this card as much as I enjoyed making it. Thank you for stopping by.

You're Someone Special

You're Someone Special
# 448-2015-06
Supplies used :
Cardstock : White, Black, Pastels Patterned Cardstock
Stamp Sets : Hexagon Sentiments, Stamp & Cut Butterflies clear stamps
Framelits : Stamp & Cut Butterflies Die Cut Framelits
Other : Yellow Blendabilities marker
Ink : Black
Sentiment : Hexagon Sentiments clear stamp set

Well, it's another week for the Freshly Made Sketches design team and they have put another sketch challenge out there for us to follow. You can find this sketch challenge at http://www.freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com.

There is not really anything special that I can say about my card that doesn't already say for itself.

The butterflies are a clear stamp that came with matching die cut framelits. I used black ink to stamp them onto white paper and then I used the matching die cut framelit to cut them out and then I used double-sided dimensional adhesives to adhere them to my card.

The hexagons behind the big butterfly is a clear stamp from my Hexagon Sentiments clear stamp set. I used black ink to stamp it onto my card for a background image. Then I used a yellow blendabilities marker to color in some of the little hexagon shapes to high light them, along with high lighting 2 of the small butterflies.

Thank you for stopping by. Please feel free to visit again. You can also follow my blog at any time.
