Pot of gold

I made this card for this weeks freshly made sketches challenge.
We have this animated DVD movie that shows a leprechaun's home is inside a little hill that is covered with clovers and he has his treasure inside his little home. So, that's what I was thinking about when I was making this card.
As you can see, I used the ribbon dies from my Ribbon messages stamp and cut set. I thought I would spice it up a little bit instead of using a rectangular design. The printed paper that I used is from a 12x12 sheet of St. Patrick's Day craft paper.
The clover is from my Holiday Sampler dies. The pot of gold is just an embellishment.
The sentiment is a wood mount stamp. I colored in the little pot and the word "gold" because I didn't want it to look too plain. I added the gems on the clovers and the sequins to give it a better look.

Lucky Clover

I thought that I would try a little something different and go outside of my comfort zone. I usually don't use my die cuts this way. I usually just use them for my sentiments.

As you can see in the second picture, I used the clover die from this set of holiday dies. The other die I used is from Ribbon Messages by Hero Arts stamp and cut.

I cut a piece of St. Patrick's Day paper and adhered it to the back of my card front after using the ribbon die. Then I used a double sided sticky circle to adhere the clover and added some sequins and a green gem.

The sentiment is a wood mounted St. Patrick's Day stamp.
The third picture is the same card, however, I replaced the green gem on the clover with a yellow-gold one. I think it looks better than the green one and it brings out the clover better.

Well, I finally decided what card to make for this weeks Freshly Made Sketches challenge. Here is the link to it : http://www.freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com. 

I thought a St. Patrick's Day theme would be good for my card for this week. And since I don't have very much to work with for this holiday, I went to Google images and searched graphics and clipart, which is where I got the pic of the little doggie as well as the bow and the clover.

I added the ribbon at the bottom from my own ribbon collection as well as the sequins. The patterned paper to the right is from a 12 x 12 sheet of St. Patrick's Day scrapbook paper. The sentiment is from my Brush Stroke Greetings Sentiments rubber stamps. I used my scalloped squares framelit die cut for the border behind the little doggie picture. Then I used a 1 inch corner punch for the picture.

Other : 3 Gold Sequins, 3 Green Sequins, Leprechaun hat Embellishment, Handsome Hunter Ink(Sentiment), Dots Embossing Folder.

I printed up and cut out the Leprechaun hat from Google Images and then I used a double-sided mounting circle to attach it to my card.

This weeks freshly made sketches challenge was to make an elongated 4" x 9 1/4" card. Or we could shorten it up a little if preferred or needed.

So, I have made my card 3 5/8" x 6 1/2", which fits a normal mailing envelope.

I used 2 shades of green with the Baker's Twine, along with using Hunter Green Stampin' Up ink for the sentiment, which I used wood alphabet stamps for.

This weeks challenge was to make a tall and skinny card that is 5 1/2 x 3 1/2". So I took a regular sized (5 1/2 x 4 1/4") blank card and I cut the shorter (4 1/4") side down to 3 1/2".

Cardstock : Christmas Green, So Saffron, 12x12 St. Patrick's Day scrapbook paper

Other : Yellow Brad, St. Patrick's Day badges and banners, scalloped circle punch, circle punch.

The bow with the clover is actually a clip art that I found on google images. I saved the picture to a file on my computer and then printed it, cut it out, and attached it to my card using the yellow brad. I got the sentiment the same way. I cut the sentiment out by using my circle punch and then used my Christmas Green cardstock with my scalloped circle punch. 

I used a Christmas Green blank cardstock with So Saffron and then four different 12x12 sheets of St. Patrick's Day scrapbook paper to make this card for this weeks Mojo Monday #385 challenge.

I found the gift tag and ribbon banner via google images. I saved them to a file on my computer and then printed them using my Photo Printer software program. Then I cut them out and put them on my card using a yellow brad to keep them in place.
