Valentine Panda

My Mom has always liked panda's, so I made this card for her.

Supplies used are :

Peach blank card,

Black cardstock,

Clouds and Grass paper pad,

Boho paper pad,

Heart lace edge frame die cut,

Panda stamp and cut from Hampton Arts mama elephant collection,

Scalloped heart,

Heart gems.

Loving Valentine

I tried other layout's for this design from this week's freshly made sketches challenge, but I finally decided on this one. At first, I was going to put a regular circle inside the scalloped circle. But it just didn't look right. Then I played around with other ways to use the printed paper which I used for my background image on this card. 

But the more I thought about it, I finally decided on using a heart over the scalloped circle instead.

The supplies I used are :

White blank card,

Red scrap paper,

Valentine printed paper,

Scalloped circle die cut on red paper,

Scalloped heart die cut on shiny white paper,

Roses in a vase embellishments,

Red hear gems.

The die cut that I used for my sentiment is from the die cut set pictured above. I'm not sure what the name is for this set of dies. The sentiment is from the free printables from papercraft inspirations.

I added the heart gems to give my card a little texture, along with using a little bit of Bravo burgundy ink on the edges of my heart and sentiment.

Here is another card for this week's freshly made sketches challenge.

Today I went to our local Joann's craft store because I wanted to see if they had any good deals going on. And sure enough, they had a bunch of their printed 12x12 sheets of scrapbook papers on clearance for 25 cents each. So, of course I couldn't resist buying a few sheets.

Other supplies that I used are a hearts edge frame die and a couple of hearts embellishments that have a circle adhesive on the back to adhere it to my card.

The sentiment is a wood mount stamp.

I am always very critical of my cards and I know that most of the time, my cards aren't near as pretty as those that are posted on the challenge. However, I still enjoy making my cards and posting them on the freshly made sketches challenge.

Thinking of you

For this week's freshly made sketches challenge, I made this floral thinking of you card. 

As you can see, the printed paper that I used is from a floral paper pad, which I purchased as a clearance item from our local craft store.

As a border, I just used a pastel pink cardstock.

The sentiment is from some clear stamp sentiments that I got as a free gift from scrapbooking.com.

Here's another card for this week's freshly made sketches challenge.

For the background, I used a Valentine printed paper that I printed up from paper craft inspirations.

The scalloped circle is a die cut along with the regular circle.

After cutting out the circle, I ran it through my bigkick using a hearts embossing folder.

The sentiment and the ribbon is from a stamp and cut set that I purchased at our local craft store.

The stem of roses are just one of the embellishments that I got from the dollar store in my area. I added the leaf dies to it to give it a little more so it wouldn't look so plain.

Aegean blue chalk ink

Night sky chalk ink

Navy blue colored pencil

Black ink

Mountains framelit die

For those of you who don't know, I like to keep track of how many cards I have made since I first started making them. So I always put a card number with the year and month it was made.

I used a printed paper from a Clouds and Grass paper pad, which has been cut with a mountains framelit die. Then I adhered it to a white cardstock and then adhered it to a baby blue blank card.

The sentiment is stamped on with black ink and is from the Hampton Arts Whale's stamp and cut.

I used Aegean blue chalk ink for the whale and water spout. And I used Night sky chalk ink for the swirled water below the whale. The water swirl is colored in with a navy blue colored pencil.

This completes my card for this weeks freshly made sketches challenge.
